The Montclair Syllabus

The Montclair Syllabus is a template, updated each semester, that ensures instructors provide all the essential elements for their students in a consistent way. Starting Fall 2024, all instructors are encouraged to use this template.

The Office for Faculty Excellence (OFE) promotes 教师 excellence in teaching and learning, 研究, 领导, and university citizenship through programs, services, and event sponsorship. Our mission is to support excellence and advancement for all 教师, new and seasoned alike, 在每一条轨道上. 

OFE programming centers on teaching and learning excellence first and foremost, fostering evidence-based classroom practices and supportive pedagogies to integrate the 大学’s commitment to every student’s success. OFE also supports 教师 研究, career advancement, and 领导 development, as well as serves as a clearinghouse and referral service to guide 教师 to the many programs, 办公室, and informational sources that join OFE in supporting professional excellence. The Office for Faculty Excellence is greatly supported by the 咨询委员会, chaired by Kathleen Kelley, and comprised of 教师 experts accomplished in teaching from across the 大学.
